About our founders
Dick Morrell, CEO and Founder – Dick is best known in the technology press as the founder and co-author of Smoothwall the internet filtering technology he co-founded in summer 2000. That was then acquired for £75.5m, and now a cornerstone of filtering and protection across the globe throughout government, retail, insurance, education, every Police force in the UK, UK Cabinet Office and across the US federal government. He is the co-founder of the platform now known as pfSense which protects more than a quarter of all traffic on the internet every single day. Dick is also former lead innovator at world leading technologist Red Hat where he spent almost a decade in the US working on their cloud technologies. Known as Cloudguy in the Linux community and with his roots of more than a quarter of a century steeped in Linux and Open Source he created Webdynamics in 1997 the UK’s first ever Linux support organisation. Webdynamics was acquired by San Francisco based Linuxcare in 1998. In 2016 he founded Auditsec Systems which was acquired in 2018 on the London Stock Exchange. He is the former Chief Technology Officer of Falanx Technologies, held the same role globally at world leading business technology firm, Gartner Group, and more recently built and created security and cloud training for QA Training in London. He is the former Head of Retail Security at VirginMedia protecting millions of residential users across the United Kingdom from internet harm. Dick has been podcasting across the globe since 2012 and has created content with some of the largest brands in the world and put microphones in front of many luminaries to a global listening audience. Dick lives near Bath and is a Dad of two amazing sons who co-own in equal share the parent company behind Voxiferi Studios. Dick is also globally known in the press across the world as a leading ethical hacker, discovering major security flaws and vulnerabilities in household name technology platforms including banks, major retail organisations, local government, global automotive brands and internet platforms. He is an official ambassador for OpenUK and also a UK Government certified security accreditor and advisor and has provided input and guidance on nation state security issues since 2007 with the Ministry of Defence and the UK National Cyber Security Centre. Dick has been friends with, and connected to Tina, since autumn 1981.

Tina Firrell, COO and Co-Founder – a professional in her field leading from the front Tina has more than three decades working in sales and marketing environments. She most recently headed up a business development role for a South East UK technology vendor growing that business organically through periods of transition. In 2008 Tina, while working for a print advertiser became frustrated at how print advertising failed to adhere to the basic tenets of informed choice when it came to marketing. A concept was born with Dick and four years later he started podcasting based on the skeleton of her concepts. The rest is history and the foundations of everything we do, and what we stand for hark back to that summer’s afternoon in 2008. Tina heads up our business development and our process management and customer relations. She runs our platform of choice (SuiteCRM) and also is responsible for decisions made around marketing and engagement. She is a mum of one and lives in rural Kent. The future
With a successful commercial record in the acquisition of Dick’s creations, Voxiferi has a grounding based on key financials and a pedigree for future potential acquisition. Having already rejected two offers of outright purchase by a private finance initiative and a US technology vendor, and the offer of $500k for a 20% shareholding by a very established podcast broadcaster.

Our UK Franchises
East Kent– Dan File – Dan is central to our upcoming VoxEducate brand which launches in summer 2025. He is located in Folkestone on the South Coast where Tina and Dick grew up with Dan. Dan owns and operates the Shepway / East Kent franchise for several of our podcasts as part of our LocalCast platform. He also contributes to planning and direction and presenting content for our other shows.

It is a wholly owned entity owned in equal share by Dick Morrell, Christopher Morrell and William Morrell.
